Keep in mind (after the break-in period, of course), when you are cranking UP the gears, the rev limiter will keep you from over-revving the engine. However, when you are down shifting ..... it's not going to save you. So, be sure not to mis-shift (like coming down from 6th and hitting 3rd instead of 5th). At high speeds, some call that a "money shift" .....

It would be simply
tragic to purchase this car as an automatic.
I've been driving automatics for a while now (15ish years), so I don't need to worry about learning all that basic
driving stuff whilst struggling with 2.5 additional inputs. I have a pilot's license so this is far from the most complicated machine that I've ever been in command of.
Several hundred miles past break-in but I'm still not pushing it very hard at the moment (okay, maybe I have a little fun while merging). It would be a rather unsafe thing to do until shifting becomes natural and, well, automatic.
