as far as I have researched the "new pump" design just has more sound insulation and will result in crickets regardless. Your talking 1000+psi of pressure so I am sure its bound to make some noise. Cars that do make the noise have no safety concerns as crickets are cosmetic and not performance related. So to answer your question you should be good but I am sure MrC and others can chime in too
