Alfa Romeo 4C Mid Engine sports car due mid 2014. Beautiful car but much more expensive. Looks like an Italian Lotus..

But status is not worth too much extra money. Getting the Limited BRZ at 28,000 versus $65,000 or more for the Alfa made it a no brainer. This BRZ is as fun a car to drive as any that I could imagine or have experienced in many years. Why overpay?

I do like the Mazda RX8 very much, but an new BRZ (or FR-S/GT-86) is a much more reliable and less costly car to maintain at this point. And I think the BRZ has better balance and center of gravity (the keys to great handling)

The Alfa 4C could turn out to be a fantastic little car. But you have to be willing to step up to the price (especially if it has to be a large portion of your regular income.)
