Anyway. This whole JV thing is the main reason i have been trying to help educate members about tuning. If people had been reviewing their ecutek logs from the beginning, the situation would not have gotten so far out of hand. JV, from what i understand, has a track record of hit it and quit it with poor quality tunes. As I understand it, this is not the first community he has been chased out of... not that he is out yet.. but you get my drift.
I think the end users community needs to bear some of the responsibility for allowing mediocre tuning work to be passed off as the gold standard. I know this community has a lot of people new to the modding scene that don't really know how to review logs or what to look for when they do. Fortunately there are some of us that do and we offer to help others for the sake of the community.
There is a wealth of information available on romraider and many other subaru, and non subaru forums for that matter, I hope that in time the community knowledge will grow to the point that some of the work i have seen would not be accepted by a customer of a professional tuner.
Anyway, I'm glad to see people starting to come forward and compare notes on their tuning experience, it will only help our platform grow as we demand higher quality from the tuning community.

I appreciate that as a customer I'm the only one who is truly going to look out for me, but I don't have the time to sift through another forum to learn this stuff sufficiently. Is there any chance you could provide some short cuts of what to look for?
Who would you consider the gold standard out of the present tuners that do provide tunes here?
