No it doesn't. Then Tensioner is spring loaded, to remove the belt you put a wrench on the tensioner and move it backwards against spring pressure, make sure your other hand is free while doing this as you now have to use the freehand to remove the belt from a pulley while still holding the wrench against the spring tension of the tensioner.
