Anyone doing this will figure it out, but both this and the OP are incorrect. There are
two extra screws required per side (the OP said three).
There are four points where screws are used to hold the three pieces of the new panels together. Two of them are handled by existing screws, but the other two are not.
You could assemble without the extra screws, and it won't fall apart, but it'll probably rattle when the radio's on.
The yellow circles indicate the two new screw positions; the orange is a locating pin (the OP may have mistaken it for a screw position, but it's not).
