I don't understand why people think there is a problem with it.. It makes noise in its operation. This car has minimal to no sound deadining material to quell any noises.. It's the nature of the beast.. Buy a Camry or a Lexus if these operational noisies bother you.. All compressors kick in and the clutches makes noises.. If you want quiet.. Buy a 4000 lb car with lots of padding and comfy seats..
huh, how do you get the belt off? Now I want to go take my car apart... According to the manual you just unbolt the tensioner pulley and it magically comes apart.

Agreed that it's a pretty minor complaint.
