About 10 days ago I installed the Unichip on my FRS. I had a cat back and drop-in at the time. It had a decent butt-dyno feeling. Today, I put in a Takedo CAI and downloaded a few maps. Jack, the process took me longer than the unichip install.
Finally I got the right map: (92)-fuel, +timing using 91 Oct Shell. Two surprises: 1. The CAI makes the engine sound louder. (a good thing) 2. The torque dip seems to have disappeared. (a great thing)
At this point, I couldn't be happier.

Question: I heard people say Shell V-Tek is not the best gas. Is Chevron the way to go?
