Mazda wouldn't be that stupid. Japan isn't the U.S., there are REAL consequences to legal action there. Besides, Mazda isn't in the same position of power that Toyota is.
Japanese business is complex and would take a lot of study to fully understand; Mazda challenging Toyota in court would only result in a public apology from Mazda's board members followed by suicide.
