They teased headers, too.

I really don't know where Perrin gets their rep from. They were early adopters of the WRX and its turbo. Tuning a turbo for moderate gains back in the day was pretty simple. NA has always been more complex. Turbo knowledge of add boost and fuel/subtract heat and timing doesn't translate well to NA's dilemma of how the hell to push in more air once the mixture and timing is optimized.

So people need to realize that a Subaru tuner is not automatically a BRZ tuner. But that's not going to stop them from putting on the 'expert' costume if it helps them sell parts. Nor ECU tuners from trying to size fuel lines and fittings that they have no experience with.

(Also compare the Nameless fabrication quality to Perrin's 5 minute MIG job.)

We're still a ways from discovering who the real FA20 gurus are. There are some really good, smart guys that are tuning and making parts, but I still think there needs to be a more integrated approach.

Difficulty is, as previously noted, it costs money to do real R&D. And it takes a certain knowledge base just to start in the right direction.

I'm really looking forward to see what Nameless, English Racing and the Aussie rally team can all put together for the platform. I may even have the car by the time we've established who the true gurus are.

(Nameless, hope you guys are playing with intake plenum volume and runner sizing next...)
