Chicagoland: Subaru is hosting a G2G Weds Aug 21st

Quote:
Subaru of America will be hosting their fifth annual drive out hunger event to raise food for the Itasca food pantry. The event is car show based with awards and cash/swag prizes awarded for different classes depending, where your vehicles falls. So bring your Subie, a good attitude and as many lbs of canned goods or non-perishable food items you can fit in your Subie. These are also items that shall not be expired or near expiration, and something that you yourself would eat. Remember the items donated will be going to less fortunate people who can't afford the good things in life like a Subaru show car. Be generous, lets show the other regions that Itasca has what it takes to fill that pantry.

You will receive raffle tix for every 10# of food donated.
The more food the more tix!!!

Please spread the word!
Lets fill those spaces but more importantly fill that pantry!

Here's the link to the google doc. please be an adult and put YOUR name first and last. Model of the car you're registering. Year. Estimated amount of canned/non-perishable food items, email address, cell number, and mailing address. Nobody's info will be sold, in the future (SOA) can use your cell number to SMS, email, or snail mail upcoming events.

Facebook page for this event can be found here:

Time: 5:30pm until 9:30pm
Location: Irving Park Rd and Maple St Itasca, IL 60143

Personal notes:

• Its a small lot, so if you plan on showing you car. Plan on being there till the event ends.

• Itasca Police will be on hand. Usually handing out swag and checking out cars. They won't be handing out tickets for tint and catless exhausts but use common sense. No burnouts, no drifting, don't hold lower gears cruising for the sake of it.

•Usually someone at Subaru drops a few hundred and brings a stack of pizzas and drinks.

Please come, bring some canned food and lets show Subaru how we come out in force.
