Well the car is marketed and sold for the purpose of "having fun". A lot of the dynamics enjoyable from driving can be experienced without mods or competitiveness. It also happens to be an excellent tuner base, however, not all of us have the money or time or opportunity or skill or (any combination of the afore-mentioned traits) to compete in leagues.
