Used:
Nissan 370z (this is where I started actually)
WRX STI
Evo
Cayman S (yes, you can get Caymans for under $30k)
S2000 (good luck finding one in decent shape or not clearly abused)

New:
Civic SI
Focus ST

I think everything started few years ago when I was in college and test drove a Civic SI, I always wanted one. Still do in some respects, I don't know why.

I briefly considered American Muscles like used GT and SS. Mainly the GT since for July-August they were running discounts that put a new GT base for $28k. I even considered a V6 Mustang to completely mod it to hell.

But then I test drove the American "icons"...

yeah...no thanks....no thanks..

Then I realized I wanted a new car, not used. Since this will be my toy car, then that pretty much came to RWD vs FWD... easy choice.
