can I use simple green for step #6(engine bay, door jambs etc.) or will it damage the paint?

Also for the wheels, do I just spray simple green and use the dirty sponge in between the spokes and lug nuts?

Thanks for the guide I've recently purchased almost everything and I have never been this excited to wash a car hahaha
