My mother complained about modern headrests when shopping for a car. I think it has more to do with poor posture and the shoulders collapsing / rounding forward than anything. If you slouch into the seat, your head will get pushed forward.

Ha....so I slouch and have weak abs (from being a lazy butt), but i find that if I sit in the car and tighten my abs, the seat becomes way more comfortable. As soon as I relax and slouch again, the head rest bothers me.
