There is PvP but is not scheduled to be part of the launch patch.
Only reason im excited for it is because it has a lot of FF elements woven into the mechanics of the game. Otherwise its not really any better than Tera GW2 or WoW. But it offer is a sense of RPGness, that MMOs dont really have.
