You're posting in the wrong thread. Cricket noises have nothing to do with reliability.
What I've heard through Subaru channels is there is a new cricket fix that involves changes to the cam follower for the HPFP.
The other option is to just cover the pump with a large amount of sound insulation like they did on the 2014 Forester DIT motor.
