Devil's Advocate here for a minute. What
if the fire was caused by something else than the work done to the fuel system. Maybe a blown headgasket or a leaking oil filter, something OTHER than what everyone assumes.
Will everyone out there then be apologetic for all the negativity and finger pointing or will all those become Al Sharpton's and Jesse Jackson's? (reference the Duke lacrosse players vs. the stripper)

OP's insurance company may make restitution and we may never know the reason it happened. It's a possibility.........
