225/40R18 is 25.1" diameter, while a 245/35R18 has a 24.8" diameter. So, yes the sidewall is shorter on the 245-wide tire. (Used Conti Extreme DW specs as reference)

Btw, I'm on a 1" drop using Eibach ProKit and extra camber via Subaru crash bolts on front ($5 each). My camber is -2.2F, -2.0R.
