First, there were 3 of us. 2 from visconti myself and one other, and gmookher (if only he were here for this thread... it would be internet gold). Gm had his ECU bricked by Perrin. It was not a tuner fault, but rather an issue with the mother ship ECUTEK. They reimbursed JV for the freight to get our ECU, and rentals because they wanted to see what went wrong. My ECU was the first to london and back. I even wrote a writeup on the removal, and broke the cable to my ECU in the process. The clips on the plugs are rather brittle.
So, it's not really like he was shelling out $$ to be the hero.
