IMO, if you have to ask those questions you don't need a BBK.
Every single BBK I've looked at states whether or not the factory balance is maintained and if they work with the stock master cylinder.
In short, more pistons means each piston is smaller so the fluid volume required stays pretty much the same as long as the kit is well designed.
Unless you're doing it for the bling, you'll be far better off just getting better pads/fluid.
