I got quite excited when reading this! But I must admit lately I've been opting more towards getting the GT or GT-L (full spec) for no other reason then having all the bells & whistles. But...

It mentions "50kish" (NZ$) for the central 86 models. Yikes!

Then I see the first link states the MX-5 in NZ starts at $51k, which starts at 41.5k in Aus. I guess thats an expected price to ask for an up-spec 86, but well above my budget

A bare-boned 86 at low A$30's however... Hmm...
