Story:
There was a member of this forum complaining about the local police harassing him. Going by just the information he posted on this forum, I found out where he lived, his name, a video on youtube of him doing "donuts" in the parking lot of a public park, the type of citation he received, where his case was heard, what he was convicted of, the amount of his fines and how many points he now has on his license. I also found out where he traded his car in because he could no longer afford insurance on the car. I know which member of this forum now owns that very car. All this took me about 1/2 hour of research.
I had no vested interest in his case other than curiosity. I have never used the information nor divulged any of this personal information but it is all easily accessible to anyone that wants or has the motivation to search.
Do you think Subaru was motivated to do a little research?
