Stopped by a local subaru dealer while shopping. The one manual brz on the lot was all done up in useless cosmetic profit fluff so I wasn't interested. But while there the salesman made every attempt to convey that his guys buying them for racing and track events felt they were fantastic vehicles and they were the majority of his sales of the model.
At the scion dealer, saleman didn't know much about it other than that they sold well and looked fun.
Out of the two contrasting sales methods, i feel theres a bit of negligence in promoting like the former, but sticking owners when the piper wants to be paid for doing what the company marketing, dealership advertising and salesman testemonials have promoted as being the design intent of the car. Had the subaru dealer presentation i experienced been similar to that of the scion i would feel differently.
