To each his own, I am just surprised from my perspective.

A lot of us were too young when the japanese legacy cars were new, so we weren't able to get one. The idea of owning a sports car from new, and growing with it, is more appealing to me than a 20 year old Supra, that has a slowly dieing aftermarket. Part of the fun in owning a car is the development itself for me.
