And for a radar detector hard wiring it makes a ton more sense IMO. You can run the wiring so it's much more hidden and it stays out of the way. I hate having wires running in front of the dash, it just annoys me.
For everything else, use the one in the center console. They won't sell a car without a 12v outlet. Or use the USB to charge your phone  (I won't argue about it's location, I hate that location. I'd greatly prefer it to be hidden in a center console) |
I have multiple cars, it's just easier to switch between cars.
But it looks like I might have to hard wire it.
URG! Just want a car I don't have to mod anything, tired of it now.

Actually, the radar does make me not speed as much. I'm more aware of how fast I'm going with it than without.
