At this point we have no idea, for certain, whether these are "genuine" or not. While in larger companies it's not uncommon for one hand to not know what the other is doing which would explain how you could get differing stories from different sources, at a small company like Tom's I would certainly expect their sales guy to know whether they were looking at outsourcing to a different manufacturer for their "Limited Edition" lights.

DEPO and Helix are two primary manufacturers of very high quality aftermarket lighting assemblies. Given their quality, I wouldn't be surprised if they're also an OEM supplier as well, as I've been very impressed with products from the both over the years. I, personally, would not care which manufacturers these lights came from as long as they were the authentic items that I was told I was purchasing.

The OP's complete inability to provide so much as a photo of the product, let alone pricing of the product, or being able to confirm the "authenticity" of the product is for a product he's accepting significant down payments for, frankly, both worrisome and unprofessional. This is only made significantly worse by a "No Preorder Cancellation" policy. Though, in my opinion, that's a horrible stance to take, as that only encourages chargebacks, which can ruin a small business.

I've given the OP money for these on the position that these were "authentic" and "special edition", available in "double-digit" quantities, and available "only" from him. If ANY of that were to change, I can only hope that the OP returns the monies paid, as the product is no longer what the buyers were purchasing. I would encourage all those with orders to maintain them, pending any verification by the OP as to those factors of this order -- refunds and chargebacks are no way to respond presently. Likewise, I would encourage the OP to verify as much of the information as possible, clear up these allegations, and if that's not possible, to refund the money before there can be any negative repercussions to his business as a result, and only re-open the item for pre-orders when the appropriate amount of information can be provided.
