I'm going to give these a go. Have contacted Whiteline's technical department directly, and they believe they have solved the issue.

Correspondence FYI

Subject: Com-c for Toyota 86

Hi there,

I'm looking at dialing in some more camber in castor into my Toyota 86. Car is relatively stock, other than your sway bars, and gearbox mount/insert, (which are on order)

I have stock shocks/springs, and at this stage don't see me changing from these as I'm based in Christchurch and the roads are still in poor condition from the earthquake years ago.

It's important to me to keep the car acting like a new car. I've got a race car that crashes and bangs over bumps and I don't want this new car to turn into that.

I've just trying to make the car more fun. I'll be using the sway bars to stop the roll over the car currently experiences at the front, and to over-stiffen the rear so that it can slide about at much lower speeds. I do think the car needs 2-3 degrees of camber in the front also, at the moment it is pretty much at zero.

My question is, regarding the com-c's, is have the 'clunking' issues and bearing failures been overcome? I'm active on some of the larger USA forums, and continue to read story after story of people frustrated by the product failure, even after receiving a replacement (or in some cases two sets of replacements)

Interested to hear your thoughts. Happy to either keep it private between ourselves if you prefer.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

Yes it has been solved.

It seems the 86/BRZ/FRS has a washer that the previous Impreza platform did not have.

We are supplying a new washer that will solve the issue going forward
