Sometimes people forget, the main reason this car is appealing to us, is because it's low entry level price of mid 20s, so it can be modded as we go. The moment you go over 30k, you crossed a line where is no longer a good idea.

By that reasoning, no one should ever buy a BRZ. Just get a used supercharged Lotus Elise in the mid-20k range instead. Considering how limited this run of tS 'STI's will be, it's for big-time Subaru fanboys with money to blow, not sensible people on a budget.
Hell, the insurance jump alone would prevent me from considering the tS. Unless it has a turbo or supercharger, I'm not interested in trading up. The base BRZ handles beautifully and only needs tires (maybe a front sway) to keep up with most other cars around an autocross circuit.
