They are pretty flexible, so driving with it give you the most feel on your pedals. I was thinking more of long term use. In the last six years, I alternately cycle through four or five pairs of shoes for work: AM 90, Air Zoom Moire, Air Stab, adidas BOUNCE, and Cons Poorman Weapon.
I can imagine the Nike Free a comfortable pair of shoes, but if it is for someone who are on their feet most of the time, the comfort of the cushioning would wear off with in a year. Just like with any running shoes, once it reaches a certain hundred miles it's not as comfortable as it was during it's first 30 miles. I only have the early versions of the Nike Free, which are the '5.0' and the Free Trail(
pictured below-take note on the fat and wide heel outer sole), both were bought when it released in 2005.
