The world of the stick transmission is awesome and great fun once you learn to adapt to the car and get a sense for how the clutch feels. I learned to drive stick on a 89 Tracker (barbie jeep) with a broken tach good fun times. Best peice of advice I can give is don't feel pressured by other drivers on the road and just focus on what you are trying to do and it will come with time
