Yes. I'm sure I can find this for any state, but what it comes down to is this:
- know the law, or if you do not know the law (when cited), research after the fact
- no point in arguing with the officer unless you have evidence in hand (and not just saying "I know the law...")
- if your case is absurd or unjust (not because you feel it is so), get SEMA involved
There's a lot of guys that get tickets, then post on forums asking what to do when they haven't even researched the vehicle code being cited on their ticket.
I've gotten my fair share of tickets (including a modified emissions ticket, twice, in CA, in a span of 7 days), and it helps to know the law to be able to fight it.
