i was leaking badly, i fixed it initially with a check valve (linked above) which worked great, but i've since gone to just capping the intake manifold and venting the pcv line along with the crankcase breather. don't want none of that crap going back into my engine. a catch can only removes oil, not heat .

you should definitely be running a check valve between the manifold and pcv or manifold and catch can if you have one. if not, you're probably leaking boost and pressurizing the crankcase.
