Yeah I know, sometimes it's a bit on the lame side, kinda like when you go to the dealership as most of us will....and run into a Salesman who is going to try and educate you on this car when 99% of us on here are going to know way more about the car then they will....lol.

They wanted to add some tech to the car and this was it. Hopefully it is good.

The BRZ is the one that comes standard. Scion it not going to do that. GPS Navigation in a car is not the same as on your phone. Functionally it works the same, but cost to build is not there. You have a loading disc tray (CD/DVD drive's) that drive manufacture up, software specific to the Navi system, more rotating parts...etc. The 7inch screen on your Navi cost more than your 4inch Android/Iphone does....so many more cost associated with it that you simply can't compare it to that of a cell phone.
