I think the best you can do is open up the unit, find the microphone, disconnect it and wire out another one from where it connects to the board. Not sure how practical this would really be.
It's not something I'll be looking into, I'm afraid - I'm not planning of having it paired with my phone.
You could ask the folks on the OUKU thread over on xda-developers if they ever got anywhere with their
proposed MIC mods. Some have even thought of using a
USB Audio mic without much luck.
