To be honest, I've never had good warranty service on either of my subarus. They will constantly deny there's a problem, say they can't reproduce the issue, and every damn time my wife brings the car in and I'm not there, they do their best to discourage getting anything fixed and snow her over.
I love the cars, but Subaru's warranty service straight up sucks ass.
Toyota actually gives a damn, it seems. It's not so much an issue with my 2011 Outback because it's a a pretty reliable car. My BRZ has been pretty reliable so far, and only took it in for the crickets, which they "fixed" (replaced parts, problem came back).
But now I'm having difficult 4th gear shifts and a rough idle, and I only have 4000 miles on the car. Everything in me was telling me to wait for the 2nd model year, and I figured I'd be safe with a late year manufacture. Guess I was wrong.
If I have more serious issues I'm going to lemon law the car in a heartbeat and get the next year model. I have parts I'm not putting on right now because I'm waiting to see what pops up, and I regret installing the taillights already because I'm half expecting to have to remove them.
Overall, in the big scheme of things, they're not HUGE issues. It's just the tons of little things and problems other people are having that is scaring me.
