Dealer explained that Toyota USA won't replace the pump anymore since inevitably it won't fix the problem. Dealer speaking on behalf of Toyota USA Service & Parts rep explained that Toyota is working on a new part that is expected in 60-days.
I won't wait 60-days for a new part when I drive ~500 miles per week. Under the grounds that the vehicle is not operating as purchased I have opened a case with Toyota USA and will request a buyback or trade assist into a new vehicle if they can guarantee me the part is no longer a problem in the new vehicle.
