What's dynamat?
Kinda performing thread necromancy here but I fixed my rattles and figured I'd share:

Dynamat is a material used for sound deadening, it's sold in sheets and has an adhesive on the back so it can be stuck to body panels and what have you. I fixed 99.9% of my door rattles by taking my door panels off, taking out the window switch, lining the edges (where the switch meets the door panel) with Dynamat, and putting it back together.

One caveat is for the bottom edge (where the little "teeth" that hold onto the door panel are); I ended up putting the Dynamat on the door panel edge rather than on the switch panel itself.

There's a small (~2mm) gap now between the door panel and the window switch, but it's hardly noticeable, and it's totally worth getting rid of those stupid rattles! The only rattles I get now are when I turn the stereo up WAY too loud and it sounds like it's coming from somewhere else in the door (probably the speaker panel).

There's an excellent tutorial for taking apart your door panels here: http://www.subaruaudio.net/installat...nd-scion-fr-s/
