I drove the car home from Colorado, so the drive home covered my break-in period.
What will happen down the road is one of two things:
- I keep the car past extended warranty (100k), mod it and make it into a track car
- I sell it before the extended warranty expires (~3 years), don't worry about it
Either way, the buyer (or myself) will get actual useful info on the engine via compression/leakdown testing, as well as dyno and oil analysis info. All this is backed up by receipts and mileage tracking (Fuelly).
At the end of the day, I'm not worried about this and I know my rights when it comes to warranty.
