There was a time the Prodrive GC-07Js were my strong 1st choice. But that was before XXR came into the picture because, at the time, I dismissed XXRs as cheap and unreliable wheels. Til I proved myself wrong on the latter.
In the GC-07J's defense, their flattened spoke design uses less material than if it were concave. Makes for a lighter weight design compared to previous generation GC-07 or PFF7 Prodrives. They more strictly follow Function>Form. Prodrive has always had a good relationship with Subaru. They even tuned the WRX and STI with a Prodrive performance package
at no extra charge in the UK. The GC-07J are discontinued; I'm waiting for Prodrive to release new wheels specifically for the BRZ like WedsSport, Enkei, and Rays have been doing.
