Not to belittle the significance/impact of that disaster, but the Gulf is perfectly fine and has been for the last few years. The spill didn't cause any long term negative environmental impacts. The Gulf of Mexico is naturally a bit oily, as lots of oil seeps (naturally) out of the sea bed all on it's own every day. An amount equal to 2 Exxon Valdez spills a year seeps from the sea bed. Either way, the Gulf bounced back considerably faster than the environmental fear mongers said it would.
Getting back OT, I try to just Shell V-Power 93 octane as much as possible. However I will also fill up at Exxon & BP.
BTW while almost all pumps say "Contains up to 10% ethanol" in reality most of the time it's just 2-3% ethanol.
