This issue is common with saddle style fuel tanks which our cars have located under the back seat. Its one tank with two separate sides which are connected together by a siphon tube. The filler neck is connected only to one side of the tank and when the gasoline station pump is very fast in filling up, there will be instances when the side of the tank with the filler neck will fill up faster than the second one thus fooling the gas pump that your tank is already full when in reality the other side of the tank is not yet full. When the gas has settled between the two sides of the tank, the reading corrects itself. Nothing to be worried about.
