I find it hard to believe that at this point nobody has taken a pump apart and inspected one. Or that somebody in the aftermarket has not decided to make bank on some cheap-ass Chinese pump that does not chirp with some sort of "JDM" sticker on it, and sell that sucker for big bucks.
