That's fair enough, I would be the same.
I just think it's worth sticking with it a bit longer to make sure all the ethanol is out of the system.
The other thing I would do is add a tiny amount of quality low or zero ash 2T oil when I fill up, until the chirps have gone without it. I've mentioned this before and some people explode with indignation at the thought but i've put it in my 86 on principle, although we don't get the chirps here with ethanol very rare and then only in the low octane we can't use anyway.
