My way of looking at things may seem weird to you because you have no experience with Subaru engines.
Every new performance engine they have released in the last 10 years has had detonation issues.
This is very much a performance engine and very susceptible to detonation with the high compression ratio, just as vulnerable as buying a wrx.
The only pointless mission I see is you defending Toyota, if you are so sure of the "fix" then why are we sitting hear 6 months later without a TSB or a flash waiting at the dealer?
