I'd guess that the hot brake swap would be the Subaru 4-Pot calipers up front and leave the rears alone.

Then just run some good track pads, and a little air ducting and you're good to go.
Yep, the WRX 4 pots are made for the 11.6" rotor and are NOT differential-bored as far as I can tell by looking at pics of them being rebuilt, so you can swap them L->R and R->L to get the bleeders on top

That will give you better pad wear and better modulation without upsetting the brake balance any.

The next logical step for those who need larger front heatsinks is the 05+ LGT front brake conversion (the BRZ already has the LGT rear brakes) which requires (based on reading) the Calipers (complete with brackets), new pads and the bigger rotors.. would be a potential upgrade idea once you need new rotors anyways. Piston sizes are the same as the WRX (and we assume the BRZ) so brake pedal feel shouldn't change. This would change the brake balance as the front would have a lot more brake torque so more agressive rear pads may be needed to maintain that balance. Major changes in that balance can actually increase stopping distances which isn't a great trade off just to have more heat capacity up front..
