I've driven all three models of the 370z, it's a good car, great balance from the factory, but it lacks practicality and requires a great deal of expense to be competitive on a track or in AutoX for my tastes. I almost bought the Sport Package, but then started a long list of mods I needed to make it run like I wanted and got turned off.

No, the FR-S is exactly what I want: lightweight, handles right out of the factory as if the nameplate said Porsche... but with the ability to haul racing tires to the track. It's a great starting point that will allow to put more toward tires that trying to make everything else work together.
