In all honesty Subaru and especially Scion don't know what pricing will be.

I'm sure Scion is looking between 21 - 25k and figuring what people need and want at those price points. I highly doubt we will see a departure from mono spec offerings from them. Additionally Push button start / HID's / Dual zone HVAC etc will either not be dealer installed accessories (i.e. Scions version of an option) or if they offered I promise the price will be very hard to swallow.

When the tC first went on sale it had a MSRP around 16.5k if you look at the cars that were sent out for review which had been equipped with many dealer installed accessories many were listed as 19k - 20k "as tested" in the reviews. Most of what Scions "options" entail are typical aftermarket modifications that both cost more and have a warranty.

My prediction, which is based of what we have heard so far. (all +/- $750 ish)

Scion FR-S @ 22.5k (Cloth interior, basic head unit, no HID's and the cheaper looking HVAC controls)

BRZ Premium @ 25K (push button start, Nav, Dual Zone Climate)
BRZ LTD @27K ( Premium seats, Fogs, Heated seats)

Both Subaru and Toyota know that price is a huge issue with this car, they are already making a car that doesn't match the direction the american market has been moving. they are walking a razors edge between not making this car attractive enough to people wanting something better than an SI/tC/Ford Focus and pricing it out of what makes sense for a small "fun" but non-practical car.

Your pricing is flawed... Premium seats, fogs, and heating seats is not $2k difference in price between the Limited and Premium models of the BRZ
The BRZ limited will have the NAV, push start, and dual Climate zone along with the heated seats and fogs and rear spoiler and leather\alcantara seats.

The BRZ premium will have the basic radio and HIDS. This makes it as most $1000 more than the FR-S.

Nobody officially said nav was included on both models of the BRZ. There are pics of a BRZ without the Nav.

So (+-$750)

FR-S (CD radio)
$23k

BRZ Premium (HIDS, CD radio)
$24k

BRZ Limited (Nav, Dual HVAC with push start, Leather\Alcantara Heated seats, fogs, rear spoiler.)
$26k

The BRZ limited will still be about the price of a basic WRX. So it works. If they do this they will sell every one that they make.

But I still think Scion needs to modify their monospec ways and allow options in the FR-S. People do want the HIDS, dualzone AC with push start and the upgraded seats.
