I'm hoping this thread serves as a bit of a warning to anyone picking up a new 86.
I picked up my Black GT just last week, instructing the dealer not to detail/wash on delivery. Car looked great on the day!
But, that was just on the surface. After the car was stripped of it's wax and de-contaminated (even though l instructed the dealer not to), you can see the marks in the photos below:
There was no "pop" to the paint either, it was just black:
I had the car booked in for Opticoat before l even picked up the car. I delivered the car to Obsession Car Detailing (

And the water beading (don't have to wait long for the rain in Canberra - Australia

I couldn't be any happier with the results and would certainly recommend Opticoat.
Anyone else experience the same issues with your dealer?
