I suspect the major hurdle will the upgrading the DI fuel injection or only upgrading the non-DI portion and programming it to work with the DI. Until fuel upgrade is dealt with any turbo charging would be limited by fuel available.
Have to see what the drivetrain can really handle too. Not much fun to have 350whp and blowing diffs, snapping axels and breaking transmissions.

fwiw: transmission/rear dif should be pretty stout (stay around awhile is read what is "known") they are already proven parts in other cars
